A candy store's giant display of canisters of jelly beans in all colors started my mind thinking of different mosaic possibilities. One thing lead to another, and the idea for this piece was born resulting in this diptych done in the Italian Renaissance manner (and aged to appear ancient).

It is created of colored "M & M" candies (actually clay replicas) forming the two "M's" of our subject (Mary Magdalene and the Virgin Mary) portrayed as mirror images of each other.
