The Hydrangea flower traditionally symbolizes gratitude, grace, and beauty. Realistic blossoms painted across the entire surface of this heart transform it into a special Hydrangea inspired by those that bloom profusely each year in gardens throughout San Francisco (most notably those on Lombard Street).

This heart was decorated in support of the efforts of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation to raise critically important funding through their "Hearts in San Francisco" campaign for their mission to promote research, education, and care for all at San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
